Document tips that make immigration files easier to approve
Scan quality, translations, naming, and evidence organization tips used by strong applications.

Strong applications are easy for an officer to read. Use these document habits:
• Scan in colour at 300 DPI; avoid phone photos with glare or cropped edges.
• Translate non-English/French documents with a certified translator and include both original and translation.
• Name files clearly (e.g. passport_bio_page.pdf) and follow IRCC upload size limits.
• For work experience, include letters on company letterhead with job title, hours, salary, and NOC-aligned duties.
• For relationships, organize evidence chronologically: photos, chats, travel, joint finances, and affidavits.
• Explain gaps with a short letter of explanation rather than leaving silence.
• Keep a master checklist and submission receipt copies for every upload.
Neat packaging does not replace eligibility — but poor scans and missing translations cause avoidable delays and refusals.
